Following a very successful flight test, SpaceCam is proud to announce the introduction of an advanced 3D imaging system for incorporation into their SpaceCam gyro stabilized systems. The new platform incorporating two Red Cameras and two precisely synchronized Angenieux zoom lenses made its maiden flight July 2 with Ron Goodman, Mike Kelem and David Nowell behind the controls. Performance was judged to be superb in all respects including high 100mph flight speeds and rock solid stability and control. Time code and gen loc between the cameras and the recorded lens position data was flawless.
System design allows for various zoom and prime lenses to be utilized.
The SpaceCam design team of Ron Goodman, Dwayne McClintock, and Attila Szalay accomplished development, design and testing of the platform within two and one half weeks of receiving the cameras and lenses.
The system is now filming on the latest installment of Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” in Hawaii.
